Delaina - Lloydminster Director

Hello Mommies!

My name is Delaina and I am pumped about being the Mommy Connections Director for East Central Alberta!

I was born a Rider fan in Regina, SK and was raised in southern Alberta.  I am a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Education Degree and am passionate about lifelong learning.  I was ecstatic after a chance meeting with Carol of Mommy Connections at Weestock 2010 and I haven’t stopped thinking “mommy” since.  The opportunity to be involved in my community, educate, and above all, spend time with my son, has me thrilled about being a Mommy Connections Director.  The program geared towards the needs and interests of the modern mother is exactly what I was seeking in my area and I believe so many families will benefit from this program.  I truly believe in the importance of forging friendships and hope to help connect other mommies in the area.

My family and I, husband Mitch and son Axton, enjoy our acreage and raising huskies.  I love spending time at our family cabin in northern Manitoba – Mitch and I were married on the beach there in August 2009!! We also enjoy camping, fishing and outdoor adventures.  I enjoy the people and cultures of the places I’ve travelled and believe we can learn from them to embrace the simplicities of life and value the importance of community.
