Hi I am Trish McCourt, director of Mommy Connections Halifax/Dartmouth. I think I may be one of the only directors with two school-age children and no preschool/toddlers at home anymore. I often miss the days of playgroups and nursing very much. For some time now I have been working on a plan, trying to find the right fit for me and my family in my work life.

I am a registered social worker and early childhood educator. I have directed child care centres, and not-for-profit organizations and I have been a stay at home mom. Staying at home has by far been my favourite role. I have been living in the area (again) since 2005, after returning to the place I called home. I am thrilled to be making the transition to working from home building a network of new moms in Halifax area!

What I love about Mommy Connections’ philosophy is the focus on bringing families together in a learning environment where you can be engaged and become better connected to your community at the same time.
