Hi there, we are Shaela & Jamie – the directors of Mommy Connections Sherwood Park.
Shaela and Jamie have both attended multiple “mommy” based programs held in the Strathacona County area, but found there was a lack of connections with the other moms. So they set out to find a program that would incorporate learning, community involvement, establish lasting friendships, and at the same time bond with their babies. That’s when they found out about the opportunity of becoming directors of Mommy Connections, Sherwood Park.
Shaela: I am originally from Saskatchewan and have lived Alberta for 5 years. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, and I have several other certificates and courses that directly apply to children and family well-being. I’m a mom to my handsome son, Weston born January 2013, and step mom to Isabelle, born January 2008. I’m a loving fiancé to Harley, who is an amazing support system and father. I am excited to begin my new venture with Mommy Connections and I am fortunate to have Jamie as a wonderful partner to move forward with.
Jamie: I’m originally from Ontario, and have lived in Alberta for 3 years. I have extensive training in event planning, facilitating and programing. I’m a stay-at-home mom to my beautiful little girl, Madelynn, born July of 2012, and loving girlfriend to the love of my life Matthew, who is a wonderful partner and father. I look forward to sharing this amazing opportunity with my good friend Shaela.
