It’s hard to describe what it feels like when you have a baby.
For me, it wasn’t the picture perfect scene that we often see in the movies. No sneezing and a baby pops out. Instead, it was messy and heavy on the pain. Every possible emotion coursed through my body and then repeated. Over and over again. And then after my baby girl finally arrived, my body, my life and my world was transformed. Never to be the same again.
Releasing this new website, ‘The Mothering Vine,’ even sharing a quick snapshot of what it is, feels the same. Exciting, yet terrifying. Exhilarating, yet full of fear. Creating something I know is worthy and beautiful, relevant and significant, has been so very, very hard. Yet, this website has been a long time coming and it’s truly a labour of love. I know this website is needed now more than ever.
It’s *almost* time to release this baby into the world.
There is a movement happening right now. A movement in the world of motherhood, where women are saying, no more. No more perfect facebook page. No more perfect instagram picture. No more pretending to be the face of calm, when we’re terrified on the inside. Instead women are saying, let’s be real. That’s where ‘The Mothering Vine’ comes in. The sole purpose of TMV, is exactly that. Real women, sharing real stories along the motherhood journey. Women who are daring to be seen, speaking their truth and above all else, being real. We will tell stories, share our experiences, learn from each other, connect, motivate, inspire and empower each other. Every. Single. Day.
The Mothering Vine is set to launch on Sunday June 3rd, but in the meantime, I would love it if you would head to our Facebook page and make sure to ‘like’ us so that you’ll get all the details and updates for what’s to come! We are working on our instagram right now, so stay tuned for that! Baby steps!
Thank you for all your words of love, encouragement and support. We are on the brink of something pretty amazing and I am counting down the days until I can fully share what The Mothering Vine is all about.
