Sometimes I find it too much effort to cook a big meal for myself and my kids. Tonight, I decided to make a breakfast dinner, and one of the things my kids love making is animal faces in their toast.
So as usual, we gather all the ingredients needed to make our funny faces. I choose fruit my children eat, but obviously, any kind of fruit can be used. For our animal faces tonight, we used bananas, blueberries, and strawberries. I also grabbed peanut butter and Nutella.
So I’m not going to explain how to make toast, (because that seems overly obvious to me) but once you’ve toasted your bread in the toaster, and put your favourite spread on, we decorate our toast with our fruit. My youngest chose to make a bear (her latest favourite animal) and my eldest wanted to make a monkey. We gathered the fruit and placed them to make ears, eyes, and mouths.
After we finished decorating the kids quickly scooped up their animals and eat them. There was barely time to get a photo of a finished result!
