Are you looking for some fun activities to do with your child in Toronto this March Break? Here are some of my favourite Kid Friendly March Break Activities in Toronto in 2018!
Ban boredom this March Break and unleash the fun at Wizard World Family Fun Park from March 11-18, 2018 at the Better Living Centre. Your ticket to March Break fun includes daily live shows, over 25 carnival rides, games, magic shows, a petting zoo, and even a dance party at the indoor fun park! This year’s entertainment includes live shows featuring illusionist Wizard-Ry, Birds of Prey, the energetic Bounce Entertainment Dance Party, and world famous Doo Doo the Clown. Wizard World has something to excite and delight the whole family!
digiPlaySpace is Toronto’s interactive exhibition, giving kids (and their parents) the chance to play and interact with robotics, light installations, video games, virtual reality, coding machines and other up-and-coming technology. The exhibition runs from Feb 17 – April 22, 2018 at the beautiful TIFF Bell Lightbox. Featuring 21 installations from 12 countries, digiPlaySpace invites guests to become part of a classical artwork, control a flamingo through dance, watch a machine draw a picture based on how it feels, and much more! This is the world of digiPlaySpace, where interactive art, design, and activities highlight the power of creative technology for kids and those young at heart.
3. Kids Break Events at Indigo
Your local Indigo has a special free activity each day of the week. From Lego to Play-Doh, your little one is sure to find something they love. Of course there will be tons of books and even a special Paw Patrol program. Check your local store for exact details.
My mini comic book fan adores Toronto ComiCon. He gets to meet all of his idols, and it makes for some amazing people watching. Visit the ticket page for a free kids admission to ComiCon with the purchase of an adult ticket (not valid on Saturday).
The Vikings will be taking over the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) during March Break! Experience interactive games and hands-on learning designed to bring out the adventurous Viking spirit in kids and parents alike. All drop-in activities are free with general admission, and the ROM will have extended hours of operation. Explore a Viking Village and the daily lives of the legendary Norse people, with living history re-enactors. Make Viking bling using spirals, braids, and symbols, just as skilled Norse artisans did. Compete in feats of strength and challenge your mind with games in the Viking Family Lounge, create a shield wall and go on adventurous and creative scavenger hunts through the Museum. For more information, visit www.rom.on.ca
6. Kids Eat Free At Freshii (3074 Dundas St W, in The Junction)
We know that March Break is all about fun, and it can be hard to find healthy food solutions on the go when you’re busy exploring all the city has to offer! That’s why I was excited to hear about Freshii’s Kids Eat Free program over March Break. Every night from 6pm until close, a kids menu item will be offered for free with the purchase of one regular priced menu entrée. With a commitment to making healthy eating more convenient and affordable, all of their menu items are created by their lead nutritionist and come in biodegradable or easily recyclable packages. The best part?! The Kids Eat Free at Freshii deal extends beyond the break, it’s in effect until the end of March. Perfect for when you settle back into the mad rush of work and school!
