If you are like me and like to stay in the loop about all the hot spots for your kids to play then read on. My daughter is 4 and and really enjoys going to camps. She’s a very energetic girl that needs a lot of stimulation so with March Break, P.A. Days and Summer, planning some activities/camps for her is essential to hers and mine insanity. My son will be 3 this summer so I’m also thinking of enrolling him in some camps but I definitely have to be more choosy when it comes to him as he is not as outgoing on my daughter. As I started researching camps in the east end I realized that there are a lot of options! Bonus right? Yes and no, with so many options it makes it difficult to choose where to go. So I decided to list some places I thought were worth mentioning for both March and Summer camps.
March Break and Summer Camps
Sprouts growing bodies & minds – 183 Carlaw Ave (Queen and Carlaw)
If you haven’t been to Sprouts I would highly recommend you check it out. Not only do they have an amazing play area and classes they also offer camps for both March Break and Summer. Full day and Half day options available plus excursions!
Monarch Park Stadium – 1 Parkmount Rd (coxwell and hanson)
Hopefully you were there to attend their amazing Family Day or maybe you’ve been there for toddler time but this facility is awesome! Endless room for kids to run, jump and play. They offer both March and Summer camps plus full and half days
Sportplay in the beaches – 129 Waverley Road (queen and woodbine)
If you’ve got an active little one then this one is a good one. I like the idea of being indoors and outside plus trying lots of different sports. Gives the kiddies a break from learning all day. They offer March and Summer camps plus half/full days.
East York Gymnastics – 6 Dohme rd (st. clair and o’connor)
Trampolines, Swimming, Arts & Crafts, Field Trips and Gymnastics. My daughter attends this gymnastics club and has a great time, i’m sure their camps would be a blast too. March and Summer camps plus half/full days.
Variety Village – 3701 Danforth Avenue (Kingston rd and Birchmount)
They offer a Multi Sport camp that includes swimming and Tae Kwon Doh. I believe this is only full day but they do offer Marck Break and Summer camps.
Pedalheads – 180 Fallingbrook Rd (Blantyre Park)
This is a bike camp – summer only at Fallingbrook and Kingston Rd. We didn’t do this last year, but I regretted it because everyone that went said their kids were off training wheels by the end of 1 week!) Full and Half Day options
I could probably go on and on but these are some of the ones I would definitely check out. Some others that are worth mentioning are: Monkey Magoos, Science Centre, Planetere Francais, Public Libraries, Evergreen Brickworks, City of Toronto, 4Cats in the beaches, City of Toronto Camps, .
