Magic Toilet Wand

03/29/2016

From time to time, I am asked to do a review of a product or service and sometimes I say yes and sometimes I say no. This time, the product comes at the most perfect time. Within the last two weeks, we’ve purchased our first home and so I jumped to test it out! With buying a new home comes cleaning, both of the current residence we’re leaving and of the new home we’re buying. So we need cleaning supplies and the Clorox Toilet Wand comes at the perfect time!

My three year old daughter and I tested out this product today and here’s how it breaks down:

What: Clorox Toilet Wand

Purpose: Cleaning that disgusting toilet bowl, with ease and convenience

How it works: The toilet wand replaces the standard old toilet bowl cleaner. You take one end of the ‘magical’ toilet wand, click it into one of the disposable disinfecting cleaning heads (which is preloaded with Clorox toilet bowl cleaner) and get to work on cleaning your toilet.

How easy it is: This was a super easy product to review. Just as the instructions say, you click the wand into one of the 6 disposable cleaners and then start cleaning the toilet. I am not a huge fan of cleaning toilets, but the fact that the wand sits next to your toilet, with preloaded refills so I can clean it without much time, effort and energy is a bonus. Really no excuse to not clean the toilet at least every week!

Pros: Here are the advantages of this product:

* Easy to use: Convenient ready to go anytime (as long as you have the refills loaded up in the container next to the toilet)
* No mess, no fuss: Just click the wand into one of the disposable cleaning head refills and away you go. When you’re done just click the cleaning head into the garbage and you are done!
* Deep clean: The disposable cleaning head is a sponge so it maneuvers easily around the toilet bowl and underneath the rim (the gross parts) and disinfects (according to Clorox) 99% of germs and bacteria.

Cons:

* Environmentally friendly? I am not sure if the cleaning heads are environmentally friendly or not … but if you clean the toilet once a week for an entire year, that would be a lot of refills in the garbage.

Final thoughts in the Clorox Toilet Wand vs. regular toilet bowl cleaner:

Most of us have a toilet bowl cleaner next to our toilets and they’re for the most part gross. So the great thing about the wand is that you use the sponge once and throw it away as opposed to putting it back next to the toilet after use. Meaning, this beauty sits next to your toilet, clean and ready to use at anytime. No gross, used toilet bowl cleaner, only this sleek looking cleaner. (And let’s be honest, how many times have you dropped something off your sink onto the toilet bowl cleaner only to have to throw it out?! Don’t have to worry about this thing getting gross or dirty). I am a fan and will be looking to this toilet bowl wand to make my new toilets sparkle!

Thank you Clorox for the free sample!

PS The boxes also made for a great afternoon of play time with my daughter! An endless imagination …
