Gibbons Park

Today, I had the opportunity to explore Gibbons park. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I arrived. The park is absolutely huge. There’s so much green space, lots of trees and it’s right along the Thames River. From the pathway, you can see plenty of geese (I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing!)

Perfect for picnics. They actually have picnic sections in the park, but if you rather have a classic picnic in the grass there is plenty of room to do so too. All the pathways are paved, so easily accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. While I was there, I saw many bikers. The paths are designed like a roadway to help direct traffic (I thought that was pretty awesome!).

So what else does this park have to offer? Well, this park has a public pool, a splash pad, tennis courts, and two playgrounds. It even has an area full of musical instruments to play! I was astounded. I’ve never seen so much in one park.

Overall, I have to say that my adventure here was fun and I will be back again soon!
